Más Que Menos is a fine dining institution, in partnership with chef Enrique Olvera and artist Damian Ortega, with the goal of expressing a new take on Mexican cuisine and culture. Through blurring the lines between traditional food, art, and environment, Más Que Menos helps connect customers to the heart and soul of Mexico City.
The project takes over the existing restaurant located in Silver Lake, CA, called Bacari.
Más Que Menos helps customers connect to the heart and soul of Mexico City, through blurring the lines between traditional food, art, and environment. Three strong qualities that bring the project to life are the richness of tones, reminiscence of culture, and purity of raw materials. Therefore, the materials and finishes must evoke the feeling of being within Mexico City.
Palma weaving, for example, is one of the most iconic and oldest Mexican crafts. However, it has recently been used by architects and designers on a larger scale to create large wall and ceiling finishes.
Key moments include the Sculpture Garden, Lounge, Bar, Dining, and Artist Space.
